Program: School: Program Description: The Associate Degree of Nursing program provides a comprehensive foundation of general education and nursing knowledge necessary for nursing practice and continuing professional education and provides the necessary skills and competencies for graduates to assume registered nurse practice positions in acute, rehabilitative, and long-term care agencies. Graduates of the Associate Degree of Nursing program are eligible for the NCLEX-RN licensure examination. About Chamberlain College of NursingChamberlain College of Nursing focuses its educational offerings solely on training nurses. Through their both St. Louis and online campuses, students can earn their Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing. However, Chamberlain College also offers two specialized programs for current LPNs or RN. Chamberlain College of Nursing, formerly referred to as Deaconess, was purchased by DeVry Inc. in March of 2005. After this acquisition, the college changed its name to Chamberlain. Chamberlain College of Nursing is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
