UT Nursing Schools

Nursing Schools in Utah
In terms of the nursing shortage in the United States, Utah ranks 3rd in its inability to provide health care services to its population. Low-income and migrant populations are most affected by the shortage in terms of receiving quality health care, as well as rural populations. Utah is addressing the nursing shortage by providing incentives within its schools and associations in order to entice nurses to remain in Utah and further any educational or academic goals.

Women’s Health nurses, Rural Health Nurses and Nurse Educators are all in demand in Utah, as well as LPNs and RNs that provide primary care within hospitals and clinics. In order to address the gap in geriatric care for elderly, homebound patients, incentives are offered to nurses that specialize in the health care and wellness of our nation’s senior citizens.
